There's a deep wisdom to this one that really touched me. I always thought of the unchanging place that you can't go back to as home. I suppose that you can't go back to the place where you grew up as the same person, but that's not always a bad thing. I think being able to see how far you've come since childhood shows you how mature and valuable you are as an adult. But the child in us will always remember fondly the childhood, if it was a good one. And if it wasn't, we can believe in our strength because of having survived it. Thought-provoking quote, thanks! |
