| Posted 9 months ago An interesting topic, and I wish if the overtime issue can be applied. But using It tools outside the official work time is becoming the norm for all employees. To the best of my knowledge comanies do not mandate that employees should use it beyond working times. But it is our business ambition and high achievement drive that stimulate us to keep using these tools because we want to do more and accomplish more. Taking this topic to another horizon, what about sales people who yse their mobiles all day to follow up on customer requests or follow up on a sales order or customer inquiries. |

| Posted 8 months ago Whatever someone does outside of work that isn't authorised doesn't have to be accepted, so even sales people should think about how beneficial it will be for them to work for free, which is basically what they're doing if they decide for themselves to do something that wasn't requested of them. People can get overly ambitious, and can think that perhaps they will be able to force their way to where they want to be, but that only takes them so far. Eventually, they'll come across the employer who says "enough" and fires them. |
