As a HR consultant, I normally recertify for SPHR via testing rather than continuing education credits. With my travel schedule it is difficult to be consistently involved in study groups, so when I found this book with its supporting materials (CD, flashcards, etc.) I was very excited.

This book was instrumental in helping me prepare for the SPHR certification test. Gave me great confidence going into the test and it was definitely worth the purchase price.

I found it easy to use and written in a style that worked for me.

This book is a hard read. I used it as the main source for my PHR examination. But it should not be relied on as the only source. But it has great stuff in it that was on the test. So it should definitely be used as one of your sources.

As I prepare for my own PHR, I found this book to be helpful as it expands on the self-study course that I am taking. A good reference after the exam is over!

I love this book. I am using it to study for my PHR. I like the testing it offers and all though reading can be boring this book is interesting reading and not as boring as others.

I really enjoyed this book. It is informative and prepares you for the exam with quizzes after each chapter and the two finals at the end. The wonderful thing about this book is that you can review and test as often as needed to prepare for the exam. It is a great study guide for an affordable price!

This is a great book to use in preparing for the PHR/SPHR test! I had been strictly using the SHRM Learning System to study for my SPHR, but found this book to be a refreshing change from the layout and sometimes confusing way the Learning System is arranged. This book has given me extra confidence in my knowledge to pass in June!

Very good resource - but sometimes a difficult read. Very in depth at breaking down the competencies you will need to master, and one great aspect of this book versus others is that it notates areas for the SPHR certification that are different than the PHR. I converted the electronic version so I can read it on my kindle where ever I go...I would definitely recommend this as a resource to study - but I am combining it with the SHRM self study system as well. Here's to June and testing :-)

This material is great to learn from because it is easy to understand. The CD actually is better because of the tests provided after each chapter. Yet it is still better to utilized other sources to stay abreast with the latest changes forth coming by the President and federal regulators.

Passed the SPHR exam, but I did not feel the practice questions were in line with the actual exam. I purchased this other product which had better practice problems, good luck.
