Great article, I just dugg it. I worked for many patronizers in my time... They are the worst, but you are correct, you can gain their respect. I worked as an admin for 10 years and had quite a few of those "patronizers", but the funny thing about them is most of the time they really don't know what they are doing, which is why they treat people like they are stupid. I had to work hard with each one of them, but once they realized I was smart and knew what I was talking about - they ended up loving me.
